Hi

I'm planning my 2nd PC build. I'm planning to build using a Fractal North with a tinted glass panel. With that I thought I try some RGB stuff as I've seen a build in the Fractal North with a Gold Lighting (see below).

So my build consists of a Gigabyte B850 Gaming Wifi6 and 3x Arctic P12, 120 mm, ARGB.

Will I be able to put the RGB on a static gold color and how do I do that? I guess via a Software?

Thanks for the help.

Cheers

If your motherboard has Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0 then you can set the ARGB headers to a fixed static colour via their Windows app.
I have a Aorus B550 and I have set the colour to a nice ocean green that matches my wallpaper. That colour is now saved into the bios via their app and everytime the PC boots the colour shows up. The gigabyte app doesn't need to run in background for static colours, but for colours like rainbow or others with moving effects you need to set RGB Fusion to start on Windows load up.

CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X Undervolted  Motherboard: B550 Aorus Elite V2 Rev1.2 RAM: G.Skill TridentZ Neo 3600Mhz CL16 32gb

GPU: MSI Mech 2X RX6600 8GB Cooler: ProLab Design AI360 LC AIO Storage: WD SN770 500gb + Sn550 1Tb + MX500 1Tb + 1TB HDD

PSU: Antec EAG Pro 750 80+G Case: Deepcool CG580 WH Monitor: Benq Mobiuz EX2510 144Hz

Mouse: G Pro Wireless Keyboard: Corsair K68 RGB Cherry MX Red Speakers: Creative Pebble V2

Thanks for the reply.

I checked and found two things:

1) https://www.gigabyte.com/fr/Motherboard/B850-GAMING-WIFI6-rev-1x

Indicating it has

1x RGB LED header

3x ARGB LED headers

So it should work on the B850 Gaming..

2) But also this thread, complaining they can't get rbg to work on their B850 Gaming Motherboard...

https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/1lpj077/cant_get_rgb_working_on_gigabyte_b850_gaming/

Now I contemplate whether to invest in RGB fans and stuff at all..

They most likely bricked their RGB firmware while updating bios or using some other software like SignalRGB.

Meaning? I should update the motherboard in the beginning and everything should be fine you mean?

If you don't need to then don't update Bios. Imo the factory installed bios should be the most stable one.
