Its a bit too late not to tell anyone :)

Man you have it easy, I had to setup SSH tunneling and proxy everything through the browser back to my house.

Are there any lightweight/non install programs or can this be done in java?

the URL is not encrypted in SSL/HTTPS, the would still be able to tell where you're going and therefor block it or redirect it to another site.

All you need is a machine on your network running linux w/ openssh, open a port on your router. Then use putty (<-lightweight program) to create the tunnel back to your linux machine, and then you can redirect it through the tunnel using the proxy settings in the browser.

I'm on my phone right now, i'll come back later and be more descriptive.

I've tried applying proxy settings in the browser but they have disabled it no matter what browser you use.what If I put tor on a USB stick then ran it on the computer, this might work but would they be able to see the url?

Wow thats easy,

Here in auz at basicly every public school all internet goes through the goverments DNS servers. So getting arround anything is basicly impossible not to mention they disabled the https protocall so if you try to encrypt it's just a timeout or 404 and the 404 is the goverments page, makes it hard to find proxies aswell because they scan all website domains to see if it contains the word proxie therefore blocking it, no way arround, so the solution is just to direct IP connect so no need for DNS server. NOPE when they add a block they add the
Domain
IP
and basicly any request
This is kinda bad because sometime they acidently block the whole service provider and then every website hosted by them is blocked such as this one time where they accidently added anything relating to the word google
The majority of the internet was down, that was not fun!
