Hello Folks!

So recently my PC started randomly booting into the BIOS.

I have no idea how or when it happens, but I guess it's over night.

If I try to exit the bios via F10 (Save and Exit) it just goes into the BIOS again.

The only thing that works is a hard reset. If I do that, a black screen appears for a few seconds with "A9" at the bottom left. I tried googling that, but found nothing.

It doesn't happen every night, but once or twice a week.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

EDIT: Found this: A9 "Returned from E000 ROM control. Going to do any initialization required after E000 optional ROM control."

Is your direct key header shorted? Something pressing against your direct key? CMOS Battery dead? Time and date not set? Ridiculous overclock settings?

nothing pressing against the direct key. How would I know if it's shorted?

And I don't think the battery is dead, but how would I check that? ^^

Time and date is set, and OC is stable for 1 year now. It's only 4 GHZ.

There's a directkey header near the actual button that you can connect to a button, just check the pins aren't bent so they are touching or anything

If you've got a battery tester that works for disk batteries that would do it. Otherwise... multimeter?
