i have a 7600x as my cpu and it hovers around 50c and on occasion clocks up to around 60-10 which is what it reaches while gaming, are these temps normal. also my thermal paste was of blue tack consistency when i put it on which is why im extra curious of if this is normal temps.

Those temperatures are great for Ryzen 7000 series X CPUs. They are designed to be thermally limited and have a thick IHS, so temps of 95C are normal.

I'm guessing you've got a decent cooler then, like a dual-tower or 240mm AIO.

Thats a bit high for idle, but very good for being under load.

You could use some fine tuning on your fan control, it would seem. But don't get me wrong, that isn't necessary at all. You are operating within perfectly healthy temperatures

Without knowing how its cooled, the case airflow setup and the ambient temps, hard to say. It sounds fine for a stock, non-undervolted setup on a 120mm single tower cooler but again, all depends on many factors.

im using the Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE which came with some tacky thermal paste so i dont know if it was expired but i haven't had issues using it

i cant reach temps of 95 i flashed a newer bios and it made it thermal throttle before that but that hasn't caused any issues. and i am using a duel tower, im using Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE

If you know the max temp of your CPU, you'll know 60c is great.
