Hi. So im building a new PC with a R5 5600 and an RTX 4060, which both support PCIE gen 4. The problem (i think) here is the MOBO is a B450 which supports only PCIE Gen3 - will this hinder the 4060 performance much or no? + there will be an PCIE gen 4 M.2, will that have any effect or any other way be slower because of the Gen3 mobo?

Thank you in advance!!!

Bad performance either way? So your telling me the 4060 is a bad idea? Im getting for 200€ almost new + the benchmarks are not looking bad.

I meant that if you exceed the VRAM of the card, you'll get bad performance regardless of the PCIe generation support on your motherboard. Not that the 4060 in general is a bad card.

For 200€, it's reasonable. It's capable of getting playable performance in pretty much any game. The only thing is that you'll have to turn down settings in some games.
