PSN Cache?

I've heard of a steam cache before, and even watched the LTT video on it ofc, but i was wondering if the same concept could be or has been applied to PlayStation. Hypothetically, it should work just fine as a cache server also catches updates and all that fun stuff, but i dont know for sure. I would prefer the server to be able to only cache PS downloads, but idk what is or isnt possible. I dont really need a cache server for my PS5, but I thought the test of it would be fun.

The steam cache is in reality just a lan cache. So basically any big data would be stored and it should just work with a ps5 in theory.

 

You can limit it to only ps5 related domains dor downloads so it would be possible to make a "ps5 cache". Dont think its ever been done before tho since a console lan party isnt really a thing

in theory yes, but a cache only makes sense if you're serving the same file many times (as it often happens at a LAN with game downloads.) so unless your household has multiple PS5's all with the same games on them, there isnt much purpose for a caching server.

yeah non of this makes any sense. Truthfully im only doing this to test myself.
