Hey guys, I'm not sure if I should put it here, but ahwell.

I am currently upgrading my whole pc, but I can only save about 60 dollar per month. So I'm sitting here with my brand new AMD 280X GPU, and a +/- 5 year old Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 2.99 G(HZ?). So I (obviously) have a huge bottleneck. I play Skyrim on automatically 'high' settings, and BF3 on all settings high or ultra. However, if I could overclock this old CPU (with stockcooler) I could propably play everything a little bit higher untill I have saved enough money for a new mobo + CPU.

Is is possible to squeeze a little bit more performance out of this CPU or should I just not bother with OC'ing? Is it really bad that I have a stockcooler?

Sorry if I said something stupid, I'm still a newbie to this :P

Edit: Well shit, realised I had the put this in the wrong place. Where can I delete this? <_<
