Plz help

My uncle has gifted me an rtx 3080. but i now need to buy a new psu but i dont know what to do about the 12 pin power connerctor. Will the psu come with it? Do i need an adapter if so which one?   im new to pc building so i have no clue what to do

3080 is 8pin, is this a 4080 or a 3090ti?

If he's given you the founder's edition with the 12-pin, you'll either need a 12-pin to 2x 6+2 PCIe adapter, or a custom dual 8-pin (from your PSU) to 12-pin cable. The ATX 3.x/PCIe 5.x PSUs nowadays come with a 12+4 pin, which may or may not fit your 12-pin cable, and may or may not work if you do plug it in.
