Budget (including currency): $500-600

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Destiny 2, Clair Obscura, RDR2, Davinci Resolve

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc.) I play at 1440p, with a 144hz display.

Hi! I have an RTX 3060ti that I got over COVID alongside a ryzen 5 3600, 32 gigs of ddr4 3200 mhz ram, an 850 watt Corsair 80+ gold PSU, all on an ab350 pro4 motherboard. I still get solid frame rates in all my games if I fiddle with the setting to medium/high, but I want a PC that can push 1440p 144hz consistently in AAA games at high settings. What should I upgrade, or should I just stick with my original plan to ride this computer out till the end of its life and then upgrade afterwards? I’ve got a budget of $500-600, but that’s flexible on both ends.

All you really need is to upgrade your CPU. It will require a BIOS update but I would consider a AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or maybe a AMD Ryzen 7 5700X. They cost around the same.
