Need help troubleshooting

Hello i have run into a weird problem with one of my friends pc's 

he just bought a new GPU an RTX 5070 and now all of a sudden all his games is lagging and his cpu is being utilized more than it used to in games used to only run on 30-40% now its running on 50-70% i think the extra cpu might just be because his settings in games got updated after downloading new drivers for the GPU 

his pc is 

RTX 5070
Ryzen 3600
corsair 800W gold power supply cant remember exact name 
32gb ram 
motherboard is an asrock x570 phantom gaming 4

did he uninstall the old gpu drivers?

No because it was downloaded through nvidia's app

have him use DDU(display driver uninstaller) to fully remove all gpu drivers, them have him reinstall the 5070's drivers
