I connected my Lenovo Legion Slim 7 (2023) laptop to a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE tablet via SpaceDesk over a LAN network. Then, I set the tablet as the main display and launched GTA 5

While the game was running, I experienced the following issues:

The game visuals appeared on the tablet but were extremely laggy.

SpaceDesk kept disconnecting and reconnecting repeatedly.

The game did not crash, but the frame froze and became unresponsive.

The GPU fan didn’t spin, even though the graphics card should have been active.

The laptop itself did not freeze — the system remained responsive.

I had to manually exit the game to return the system to normal.

>>I was worried that my GPU might be damaged, but in reality, I think the issue was caused by SpaceDesk being incompatible with running Directx games on a virtual display.

Can anyone tell me does my laptop gpu will break down in the future cause of this

I had the same problem with space desk when using it on my pc and connecting a fire tablet as a temp display through network, the wired connection might fix the lagginess.

No. You are not damaging the hardware at all.

5950X/4090FE primary rig  |  1920X/1070Ti Unraid for dockers  |  200TB TrueNAS w/ 1:1 backup
