Try using EasyEffects (should be found in Synaptic Package Mander or install via apt)  with perfect eq preset shared by JackHack*

https://github.com/JackHack96/EasyEffects-Presets

(*Run the install.sh command for easy install of the preferred preset.)

To load, open EasyEffects, select Presets tab and click Load button next to installed preset.

Click Pipewire tab and ensure EasyEffects is using the correct output device.

Just installed mint on my desktop, and while the sound works it's very flat. I installed PulseAudio equalizer using the software manager but it seems to not be working correctly. None of the presets are making the audio any better, as well as my own custom preset. Also, the audio boost option isn't doing much either as the sound seems way too low compared to my windows laptop.

Everything is up to date and all of the necessary codecs are installed. Any clue on how I can fix this?

Compared to what? Did you use an equalizer previously? The sound profile/signature shouldn't change from OS to OS.

What's your speaker/headphone setup?

ask me about my homelab

It's flat as in no bass and no treble compared to my Windows Laptop with B&O audio. I also have Mint on a mini pc with PulseAudio which is working fine, but unfortunately I forgot how I made it work, as that too gave me issues when I first installed the equalizer.

Looks like it's working now, thanks!

Pipewire was already preinstalled and people have stated that it's not compatible with PulseAudio. EasyEffects is working now with PipeWire without any issues.
