Dell R730xd

Linus, please help me... I have a Dell R730xd with 2 Xeon 2680v3 and 128gb ram. I purchased an AMD v340 for it not knowing there was a list of "supported" GPUs. I have the optional GPU risers, I have the GPU power cables. When I boot it bios halts at "Loading pcie, USB, video". I have tried disabling boot drivers for that pcie slot. I have tried forcing x16 bifurcation. I also have enabled v-iom. I am at a loss and can't figure out what could be going on or how to fix it.

Check the error log in your iDrac for why it's failing boot. Does it do this with other GPU's and/or in other PCI-E slots?

Which PCIe riser are you using? The dual x8 slot one or the single x16 slot one?

 

Do you have a known working system you can test that GPU In?

I am using riser 2. Which is slot 4 x16 and slot 5 is x8.

 

According to iDrac it just says "Bios halted." I don't have any other GPU or system to test on as I currently just have 2 r730xds, they are both identical LFF models.
