Hey i have a wierd problem with my setup. I have Ryzen 7 1700 with MSI X370 gaming pro. Out of nowhere my pc crashed and on debug led it said GPU problem. I tested gpu on other bench and it works fine. I tried CPU replacing it for R3 1200 and PC booted fine and after this i wanted to confirm that my cpu is bad so i put old R7 1700 in to PC and sudenly it works again. So iam wondering if someone els had some issue and if i should be woried and what can cause the problem MBU or CPU?

It could have simply been a contact in the PCIe slot which lost connection over time and got fixed by re-inserting the GPU (or any other contact on the way GPU -> CPU, really). Worrying typically doesn't fix PC issues so don't do it too much 😉 Keep  an eye on it and if it happens again perhaps this indicates a more permanent problem. If it happens again, try to first re-insert the GPU and, if that doesn't help, gently push it up as it would be if the PC was lying flat with the GPU not hanging on the slot. If that solves the problem you have narrowed it down to the PCIe connection and propping up the GPU might be the easiest way to fix your problem.

Cheers!

An old setup, contact points can oxidise over time if you're in humid environment.. Taking it all apart and cleaning the contact points (NOT THE CPU PINS) can help eliminate one possible factor.

Run some stress tests and if the hardware itself is stable, it could've just been poor contact between components. If not, try pinpointing when the system crashes (under what conditions) and go from there. It's immediately a rabbit hole and witch hunt but if your system isn't stable, searching for the culprit is about all you can do.
