I built a mid tower pc in 2021, I upgraded to a bigger case in August 2024 and brought it to a computer store for assistance installing Lian Li Uni Fans (x10) and added a second M.2 SSD. I moved to the east coast in October and since February 2025 it immediately crashes due to CPU overheating. I am unable to get to the bios in time before it shuts off, i have cleaned off and reapplied brand new thermal paste, reset the bios and overclock via the switch on the motherboard (have never had it overclocked before). Not sure what is causing the overheating, I have contacted each product company with all suggesting the same steps (make sure all cables are plugged in correctly, remove overclock, etc). Full parts list attached, would appreciate any advice on what the issue could be.

if you know all the settings then i would unplug your pc from the wall and ups etc and remove the battery from the bios go for a walk get some fresh air and then put the battery back and plug ya pc in and try again. This should completely reset ya bios. Plus a walk in the fresh air will give ya time to calm down and prevent ya hurling the dam thing trough a window. (im projecting again.. Sorry)

Is this air or water cooled?

Pump running?

This should give you plenty to check till the clever buggers get here.

Hope this helps.

Clever buggers will be along later to help until then ya stuck with me 🙂

Call me paranoid but dude, I am not opening pdf from strangers xD

Usually we just use pcpartpicker.

So yeah, as the person above me has stated. Is it AIO ? if it's AIO, make sure the pump is running.

If pump is running, or if you use air cooler.
Then IMO the problem is less likely temp.

I mean, I can get to BIOS with just an old Hyper212 placed on top of the CPU with some thermal paste, without tightening any screw just fine. Just BIOS though.

Setting it on overclock will just make temp worse btw.

There is approximately 99% chance I edited my post
