Hey everybody.

I'm looking for a fan controller that meets the following spec:

- Can control atleast 8 fans

- Fits in a single optical bay slot

- Can be manually controlled on the unit itself (Optional)

- And can also be controlled on the pc with software

- Can automatically adjust fan speed based on temperature in case.

- Suports 3/4 Pin PWM connector based fans

- Runs of molex or sata power

- Is beefy enough to run the highest power/high rpm fans.

I might be asking too much of fan controllers but if anyone knows of something like this or anything close can you steer me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Accidentally pooped my pants in the elevator.

I'm taking this shit to a whole new level.

You are asking for much, but i think the Bitfenix Recon would be a good solution.

It has 5 channels, 10W each. So up to 3 fans in one channel, using fan splitters. It controls the speed via voltage control and therefor has only 3 pin conectors. PWM connectors won't fit next to each other on the unit. So you will have to plug your fans into a splitter and leave the PWM-pin of the fan just unplugged (you might have to mod the splitter).

The Recon can be controled via  touch screen or software. Each of the 5 channels has it's own thermal sensor which you can attach to various places in your case. The channel can then be controlled according to the temperature reading of it's sensor. Manual control per channel is of course also possible. You can also turn off the fans completeley.

it#s powered through molex and takes up 1 5.25" bay.

who cares...
