Yeah I guess, the only problem is that they are from different companies I I would prefer to get them form the same company and if I were to go with one company I think it could be getting up around $2000, I think I will stick with what I got now, the 770 will do me fine, I might eventually update to the 980 or 880 when it comes out and as for the i7 , the i5 would do but, I never thought of it till now but wouldn't the hyper threading really help with VM's?
hyper threading hasnt changed anything as far as i have seen, i guess you could look around but if i were going to be making it id stick with the i5
