Strange Battery behaviour

Go to solution Solved by jaslion,

Battery is doa. It happens ask for a new one.

Recently replaced battery on Alienware R3 99Wh battery from Ifixit.

The battery charges to about 61% and jumps to 100%, and discharges from 44% to 0% in a few second. The battery is brand new, but I did delay a few weeks from installing it, so it was dead and sitting on my self for about a month before I replaced it.

I have done the 'Calibration' method that Ifixit recommends by charging to 100% for about 2 hours and then discharging completely.

I have attached the data of the jumps below recorded with HWiNFO. I also noticed the wear percentage increasing by about 2-3% every charge cycle.
