bridging gpus?

can i bridge zotac gtx 650 lp zt-61008-10m with a nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti

 

Just to be clear I am wanting to know if I can add the  zotac gtx 650 lp zt-61008-10m to my pc that already has a nvidia geforce gtx 1050 ti in it to boost the fps

besides the obvious 'keep it as spares', or 'sell it second hand'... electronics should be recycled.

If you want, sure.   Considering your 1050 Ti is significantly faster, you dont really need it.

Or you could sell it, someone might give you a few bucks for it.

 

But I would recycle it instead, dont just throw it in the trash

save it, you never know if you'll need it. you might be able to use a upscale or framegen on the 650 and have the main rendering on the 1050 ti.

I use lossless scaling on my 1060 and I think there's an option to chose what gpu is used for the frame gen/ upscaling.

Not that easy to do, but there should be tutorials online, you basically plug the monitor into the frame gen GPU, and have the other one render the actual game

I cant imagine that in any way giving a positive result. 

I get that lossless scaling does not require tensor cores, but that doesnt mean it gets great results without them.

with using the upscaling I got a 80+ fps boost in Fortnite, and in steel hunters 4k max settings on the 1060 I was able to get 30fps on a 4k tv. I don't have a second gpu for the frame gen though.
