For now I set the curve like this:

Can you like draw over the screenshot how you think the curve should be set up? 😄

LIke this would be fine.  You don't really need max pump speed until you are near thermal throttle.

If a constant 50% is too low then try a constant 60% etc etc until you find what works for your CPU.

Keeping it like this would reduce wear on the pump and noise levels while still being fast enough for decent water flow.

Hey everyone
I just installed ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240 cooler to my PC and BIOS automatically set the AIO PUMP to 100% speed
I didnt think much of it and went to Fan Xpert 4, ran the automatic tuning and when done switched it to the "Standard" setting but for some reason it again set the Pump fan to 100% all the time

Do I need to have the pump running at 100% all the time, even if the temps are around 45C? What are some good rules to follow when doing fan curves?

the pump runs at 100%. are all the cables plugged in, and are the fans running 100%?

100% pump speed is not required during idle and gaming.

50-70% is plenty fine 🙂  The AIO is designed to have the pump run at 100% but this can cause a bit more wear of course.

I would recommend a constant pump speed of 50-70%.

Having a constant pump speed is a bit better than a fluctuating one as fluctuating speed causes a bit more wear on the pump.

Just set it to 50% and that should be it.

But if the pump is at 100% and its not bothering you with noise, its fine.

Pumps don't like constant varying speeds so I recommend you do what @Hinjima showed. It is also healthier for a pump to run at 3/4th speeds max if you want it to last a very very long time.

Thanks for the advice! I set up the fans like this for now and will tweak it as needed

What CPU are you running btw?

I got the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D when it was new

Been cooling it with ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO but I just didnt like how it looked and it did get kinda loud sometimes

But its probably overkill since im not OCing it
