Hello, my mother is in search of a new laptop; she will be using it for office work and her embroidery machine. Her budget is $1000 and at least 1tb of storage any help would be greatly appreciate it, thanks

We are gonna need a bit more than that...
Pretty much any new laptop nowadays will run without issues: browser, office apps, and say InkScape with InkStitch (since we don't know what software she uses for her embroidery machine).
- OS? (does it have to be Windows, or will macOS be ok also)
- Is battery life important?
- Is portability important? (does she plan on carrying it around every day, or will it be stationary mostly)
- Preferred screen size & resolution (how's her eyesight)
- Is noise a factor?
 

With the info you've provided so far: any laptop with 1 TB of storage and an integrated GPU (she doesn't need a dedicated GPU).

she uses embrillence for her embroidery, it stays at home for the most part so battery life isnt the most important but its a plus, she would like to stick to windows its what she knows best, she said 14 is too small and 17 is too big (i know its very specific), as far as resolution again not the most important but something decent doesnt have to be touch screen and noise doesnt matter
