I have a small collection of Gamecube ISO's that I backed up with my own Nintendo Wii recently. I have a small NAS with a couple serves like a TeamSpeak3 server, Plex server, and Palworld server running on it that my friends and family access no problems. I want to store my precious archival copies of my legally obtained ISO's and keep everything above board and make sure the nobody else can access them. I have some SMB shares that I can access remotely through TailScale but none of my friends or family are on my tailnet. What are some services that I should be careful when installing and what are some ways of configuring those services that I should NEVER mimic? I need to make sure that those archival copies NEVER accidentally become accessible to other users than myself. Because that would be illegal and immoral and would make me a pirate. WHICH I AM NOT, and I resent the insinuation that I would ever aid or abet piracy in my good christian household.

How much total space do they take up?

The space isn't the issue. It's the remote access, and I want to self host it. Like my Plex server, the self hosting is the important part to me, so that if I wanted to use Dolphin on my phone I could still download a copy for example.

So you're saying NextCloud might be something that could unintentionally provide access to those other users? Do you have any advise on how NOT to set up NextCloud for multiple users and permissions? So that I can make sure that they can't read or edit those files?
