Crossfire Compatibility Problem

Go to solution Solved by helping,

Yes, it's a bit iffy if that still works but it was confirmed to on release.

That would be the equivalent of a 7850 + 7870 crossfire. Not worth it.

I was told by a friend who is more knowledgeable than myself within the PC world, that it is possible to crossfire a HD 7870, and a R9 270. I've had a look at AMD's charts, I can't find any that confirm this. I was wondering if anybody could confirm this for me?
Any response would be appreciated

Many thanks

Gannicius

It should work, since they use the same core. However it's not really recommended or supported by AMD.

Thank you, I do plan on eventually buying a second R9 270, was using the 7870, my older card, as a stepping stone! Many thanks!  :)
