Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster here!

For audio production, I am looking for a computer that is strongly optimized for DPC latency to limit ASIO buffer size and still be able to have complex audio projects running on my system.

However the data on the internet about this is scarce and conflicting, and I don't even know where to begin. Anandtech are the only ones that test this consistently bit their last mobo review is pretty old. My previous system had an I9 9900KF in it, and while it could run a lot of plugins, it could not do so with a low buffer size due to the system hardware not being DPC latency optimized.

This time I spend a few 1000 bucks I want my system to be perfect. So, It would greatly help me if users on this forum with a modern system would run latencymon on their systems and respond to this post with a general snapshot of their hardware + the latency. I know this is not always a good representation, since driver versions and background software also have a deep impact on that. However it would at least give me some sort of signal about if it is even possible or not.

Linus, you probably don't read this but if you do: please make a video about audio editing and DPC latency, this is desperately needed in the audio field and existing info is scarce and conflicting. Musicians are spending lots of money on subpar systems or trading motherboards and video cards back until they get a good combo, this is an extremely frustrating and time consuming way of building systems, I know we should be able to do better. But because the market is niche, this doesn't seem to break through.

Looking forward to your reports and info on the topic!

Edit: as an added bonus, these systems should also have less stutters when gaming and be really snappy in general, because DPC latency often causes games to glitch out as well.

What's your exact budget?

Intel 14th gen CPUs have the lowest DPC and I/O latency due to it being the fastest non-chiplet/tile design.

What DPC latency do you currently have? Also, system tweaking has a large impact on DPC latency, there's many guides online on how to reduce it.
