How to add quick launch menu as it was in windows 7/10 - folder as list? - 3rd party software or registry trick?

I tried https://github.com/chrizonix/QuickLaunch, but it is not what i want - this on just add a shortcut grouped with other shortcuts and show list there.

Ya know I'll be honest, I'm not too sure I know what Quick Launch is, or what it's used for.

Have you tried Open-Shell? Idk if it will have what you want, but maybe there's a way to enable it or something. https://open-shell.github.io/Open-Shell-Menu/

It's a custom panel: link to a folder with some shortcuts and subfolders for quick acess from taskbar

The ExplorePatcher (EP) should work if you are okay to tweak your security to unblock it. EP also need regular updates and tends to crash during Windows update. The other options for Quick Launch are apps in Microsoft App Store like below. They are not exactly like Quick Launch, but should serve as good alternatives.
