Hi all,

I have been seeing a lot of this issue around the forums, hope someone here can help find a solution.

My PC Specs:
Gigabyte Aorus Master X870E (Bios F5b)
AMD 9950X3D Cpu
G Skill Z5 ram 2 X 32gig F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5RK

My PC was booting fine with no issues with AMD9800X3D, purchased a 9950X3D now get C5 boot code error and pc wont boot with ram in A2 & B2 ram slots. Pc will only boot with 1 stick of ram in A2 slot.
I thought it may be a ram issue so purchased
G Skill Z5 ram 2 X 32 gig F5-6000J3238G32GX2-TZ5NR
Still having the exact same issue C5 boot error code when trying to use both sticks of ram.
I have cleared the CMOS with no success, tried reseating ram no success, tried reseating CPU no success, im starting to wonder if this is a CPU issue with a faulty memory controller, all chipset drivers and bios is up to date. Ram is on gigabytes QVL.
There isnt a problem with the motherboard as it works flawlessly with the AMD 9800x3D.
Thank you

There is not an official CPU support list but series 9000x3D processors are supposed to be supported since BIOS revision f2.

Do you have access to another computer to test your CPU in it ?

Since this is a really new processor, I'd contact Gigabyte's support. here is not much we can do if the CPU support is not ready on that motherboard.

Good luck !

i have noticed around other forums the same instance is occuring. i had 1 misaligned pin in the cpu socket but managed to straighten it without breaking it. im starting to wonder why this is common and could it be a design flaw on the processor that is the culprit,  way to regular for a handful of people not installing/seating their cpu correctly.--------
