Budget (including currency): flexible, nothing too absurd, just a mid-range PC, probably $600 to 1500 AUD range, if lower value works just as well without much trade offs then that can work as well, and vice versa for higher value

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Genshin Impact, and other gacha games (mostly)

Other details

- Only needs the tower, already have peripherals etc
- Already have Casing (Corsair 3000D Airflow), and Storage (NVME and 2.5 HDD from laptop)
- Needs a PC to run games like Genshin, is iGPU/APU good enough to run it? If yes then GPU can be skip for now. (it's fine to run 1080p 60 at low for now)
- If using iGPU/APU, will probably add a GPU down the line (not included in budget if not needed at the moment) to run heavier games, so PSU would preferably be around 550-650W range (enough for mid-range GPU yes?)

Essentially, I need CPU (and cooler if no stock), motherboard, RAM, and PSU recommendations, I think that's all I'll need? And a potential GPU candidate. (Prefer Nvidia because of the softwares used)

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Do I have to be locked into a GPU right now?
Does the PSU have (as much as I hate it) the new power plug Nvidia uses?

The intel CPU oxidation only affects 13th and 14th gen, right? I haven't followed tech in a while so I am not quite sure exactly what's going on.

Is AM5 platform is too costly for enter? Was thinking APU would suffice for now.

The APU/iGPU for games even for gacha games will depend on the game itself sadly

WuWa for example on a 8600G (best option if you want to get into AM5 without a GPU for the time being) CAN run it at 60 fps at medium to low settings (preferably a mix of both with where it needs it)

Genshin on low tho on it will be like this

If you disagree with anything I've said tell my why with logic not feeling

If you wanna correct smb do so with logic not anecdotes and feelings

icic, yea i forgot wuwa existed because the user the PC is intended for doesnt play wuwa, so other than wuwa i think most gacha games are pretty chill in term of requirements.

Albeit the gameplay looks smooth, should be fine with Genshin then

the G and non G is stronger and weaker iGPU? or the non-G just has no iGPU at all?

as for GPU, 3060 still recommended? icic...

The non G cpu's are better for gaming. The 3060 12GB will give you decent fps at 1080P.

WuWa is the game that ran fine

Genshin was at 30 to 40 FPS on 1080p LOW

Quite frankly I'd rather you go am4 or 12th gen 12400f with a dedicated GPU like the 3060 12gb like @Why_Me says or the iGPU will not give satisfactory results even at 1080p low depending on the game
