This is Linux man. We don't game. We don't have fancy PCs. We have an old Toshiba laptop compiling the kernel for the 8th time on the TTY.

I am obviously joking. But god have mercy if you want to setup RGB. All of them have proprietary Windows software. OpenRGB or other software might work, but only if your manufacturer obeys the standard so that it can be detected.

i made it work though (RGB only )

it was not easy at all

sorry for insulting the great haswellx86 may your soul be high in the kernals land .

oh i only did the RGB without finding how to do the lcd so far no luck with putting femboys in my gpu lcd  😔

thanks to all

Hi!

I googled the name of the video card you mentioned and clicked on the link that leads to the official product page. In the section about LCD EDGE VIEW it is stated that this is controlled "via RGB FUSION 2.0 software". In the RGB FUSION 2.0 website the download link directs you to the GIGABYTE Control Center page.

From a quick read I concluded that the GIGABYTE Control Center have the RGB FUSION built-in and sadly that this software only works in Windows 10 and 11.

In this post from the Arch Forums a person mentioned OpenRGB as a possible solution and the user who posted marked the issue as SOLVED after this. The OpenRGB website includes a list of compatible devices and your device is marked as "Fully supported by OpenRGB" as you can see in this search.

I hope you find this information useful.

Looking for job. Seriously guys I need money
