Budget (including currency): around 2500PLN (~650USD)

Country: Poland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: In terms of games i play mostly CS2 but also like to play witcher 3, farming simulator and cyberpunk type games, in terms of workloads, CAD in fusion360 sometimes some big 3D models, and some light programs for aerodynamic calculations - xflr5

Current system:

  • Motherboard: Asus Prime B450-Plus
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF
  • GPU: Palit GeForce 1050Ti Dual OC 4GB GDDR5
  • RAM: 2 kits - first kit 2x4GB HyperX Predator DDR4 3200MHz CL16, second kit 2x8GB HyperX Fury DDR4 3200MHz CL16 (when i added second kit of RAM i think they renamed it from predator to fury, and there was no longer a 2x4gb option in sale, also at the time I didn't have the money to buy 2x16GB kit)
  • PSU: Gigabyte Aorus Elite Platinum ATX 3.1 850W (it's 3 months old, bought it with upgrade in mind after the old psu started dying)
  • SSD: Lexar NM620 1TB

Hello guys.

I'm planning to upgrade my old PC, I rather want to stretch the upgrade in time by changing one think at a time for keeping the cost a little bit less noticeable.
I've already changed the PSU as the old Vero L2 600W started dying, and was planning on changing the graphic card next, but I'm not really sure what to go for on the used market.
Currently with my old 1050ti i was able to play most games, most of the newer ones on the lowest settings but they were playable, but started noticing some big reductions in FPS in CS2 on the newer maps, and also i started to notice that in fusion as i create bigger and more comlicated models it would sometimes take some time to recalculate the changes.
Considering I want to upgrade my gpu first then move over to CPU (or maybe CPU and Motherboard) what would you recomend to look for, and what to avoid, i rather stick to nvidia in terms of gpu, so which of the used cards would bring me the biggest uplift in performance as in the price range 1000-1200 PLN there are listing for some 3060, 3060ti, 3070, 4050, 4060 and others, which of them, or their versions should i avoid and what to look for.
Next in the line for upgrade - CPU as the 1-st gen ryzen is starting to feel slow, should i stick to the AM4 platform or wait some more time and invest in AM5 platform. I can really stretch this upgrade in time to earn the money if you would recomend some other-more expensive options instead of sticking with the AM4 platform it's no big deal for me as the PC as it is now is still sufficient for my needs.
I would be more than happy to hear your recomendation for my case of upgrade.
Cheers
Jakub

I would look at the RTX 3060 12GB for the extra VRAM.
