Budget (including currency): £1300-1500

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Variety of games, including the big single player titles and online FPS games.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This would be my first PC build. I'd like to aim for 1440p at high refresh rates. I'm currently at the stage of looking at parts nothing in stone yet - trying to get the most of this budget performance wise at 1440p. No peripherals needed required within the budget.

Here is the part list I was playing around with https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Dz9gBq. I'm sure people here will have some good suggestions so thanks for your time in advance!

That 9070 is gonna be gone from the price list very soon and back to the float 700+ that its in right now due to scalper.

Thanks for your suggestion - understood about the GPU market. Should I be looking at around £600 mark for 9070?

550 is the best for the baseline entry level SKU like Sapphire Pure, XFX Swift, and Asus Prime. 600-650 is to be expected for the 9070XT, but even legit retailers are scalping it up to 750+.

You want DDR5-6000 CL30 if you intend on gaming seeing how games benefit from low latency RAM. This gives you a both a board and gpu that support PCIe 5.0 along with a case that has far better airflow than the 4000D.
