So going with the cyberpower one is the way to go? Looks like it shows battery capacity and current load which is nice.

Basically plug that into the outlet and then the psu cable into the back in surge+battery?

So, reality is I have it because my system can pull upwards of 700W under full load so a 1000W rated model was ideal. CyberPower makes smaller, cheaper models such as the聽CP1000PFCLCD but I wasn't happy with the 600W peak rating. I run my display on the UPS too which can pull over 100W and you don't want your display turning off in the event of a power outage聽馃榿

These models also have the ability to talk over USB to CyberPower's software where you can set automated actions like shutting the PC down ASAP, or keeping it up as long as possible before automatically shutting it down.聽

Hell if you really wanna get technical, HWiNFO can read data from it too.聽

I am looking for a great UPS that will allow computer to run long enough to close and shut down what I am doing if the power were to go out for some random reason. Probably 5-10 minutes max. I have been looking at apc and cyberpower brands on amazon. There are apcs, and avrs, random types - does it matter which one to get?

Computer specs are 9700x, 4070 ti super, 1000w psu, 32gb ram. I never overclock or do anything extremely load heavy so the wattage should only max out around 500-600 watts under decent load right?

Also question about UPS, if the power goes out, I shut down computer, and the power comes back on a few hours later, does the UPS battery charge back up on its own? How will I know how much battery is remaining if the computer is on for whatever amount of minutes after power outtage?

Where do you live? (country)

Matters as some models are only available in certain regions. My Cyberpower聽CP1500PFCLCD will run my PC and main monitor at idle for ~40 minutes so you probably don't need that.聽

If you leave the UPS on during this after shutting do your PC, yes, it will switch back to mains power and start charging the battery. If you shut down the PC and also shut down the UPS, it won't.聽

Depending on the model, it may have an LCD on the front where you can cycle through stats. Mine gives me input voltage, load in watts, estimated time remaining, etc..

Ryzen 7 7800x3D -聽 Asus RTX4090 TUF OC- Asrock X670E Taichi - 32GB DDR5-6000CL30 - SuperFlower 1000W - Fractal Torrent - Assassin IV - 42" LG C2 - Windows 11 Pro

I live in the USA, I have been eyeballing that cyberpower model, the 1500va 1000w one. Might be slightly overkill but.

I look at it this way. In the event of a prolonged outage, extra battery power to charge devices isn't a bad thing.
