Did anyone else lose all network functionality after recent updates. I had updates pending restart last night. Went to sleep. When I woke up it had restarted and I have nothing. All the adapters are listed in the device manager. None show in the adapter options from network and sharing Center. No icon on the taskbar. I've removed it from devman and reinstalled it manually to no avail. I've never seen this happen before and the videos I'm finding don't match my symptoms. I can't even try the steps they are taking because of things missing. Of course the troubleshooter can't find any problems.

So I ran an Ethernet to it. Not surprisingly it did nothing. I can't wrap my head around how they are there in devman and show fine but not there everywhere else they should be. I did that because the troubleshooter said it didn't detect any incoming connections. Giving it one didn't seem to help the troubleshooter any.

If I said something I shouldn't have the last time I came here for help, I can assure you I am sorry. I don't remember anything off hand but that doesn't mean I didn't and didn't realize it. Not sure what it could be. Every other time I've come here for guidance, I was surprised at the short amount of time it takes for someone to offer their own time and insight. I was always appreciative of it and thought I expressed that to whomever. Whatever the reason, the last two times I've sought help here, it's been a ghost town. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, I don't know. If not, I'm sorry, and hope you will except this apology and offer your skills in the future. I suppose I'll give it one more shot before I take it that way.

If you don't get any answer it could be alot of reasons for it.

Maybe no one has any clue how to help with your problem.

Maybe people are too busy with their lives to spend time in this forum.

What was the update? A regular Windows update? You can check it on the update history.

You can then try to rollback, uninstall that update.

It was a regular update. I ended up finding it but after all the basic shit, I tried so many other things, I'm not sure what actually did the trick. That's what I thought at first. Then the second time after every other time in the matter of mins. I wouldn't think anything if it took a little while. We're talkin days on the first one and after a while went by, I started thinking I may've fucked up in some way. So my brain prob got the better of me but just in case. If I offended someone somehow, I wanted to throw that out there that I never mean anything maliciously. There could be 1000 reasons things did or didn't happen. I like this community. Everyone has always been way more helpful here than anywhere else. I appr that and I wanted to make that clear.
