I am looking to update to a new desktop machine as my current computer is coming up on 9 years old, isn't eligible to update to Windows 11, and is really starting to show its age. I want to configure a system that is "futureproof" or at least future padded to try and get some longevity out of the build similar to my current system (8+ years). But, being an extreme novice, I don't know if I should max out the CPU, RAM, and other components to try and make sure I don't end up having to swap out components on a regular basis, or if components that aren't top tier will be enough for my needs.  I've configured several machines on Maingear, Origin PC, and on HP to see where the costs of each will fall, given similar configurations (see below). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@CBD1701E order the components yourself and afterwards call around to local PC / laptop repair shops and have one build it for you. This way you not only save a grip of money, you know exactly what's going inside your PC case as in quality components.
