Hello,

I just upgraded from an RTX 3070TI to a RX 9070XT and performance in triple-A titles is amazing. MH wilds can now run maxxed out at 100FPS with Ray Tracing. Unfortunately, my favourite game CS2 is not functioning as it was with my 3070TI. I've gone from hitting near 300 FPS, to hitting only 170, but feels more like 50 due to terrible stuttering.

Looking at reviewers benchmarks, this seems like an anomaly, as at 1440p I should be getting somewhere in the 400 mark. I've no idea what could be causing this but any help would be appreciated.

Other specs are 9800x3d, 32GB DDR5 6000, running CS2 from a PCIE gen 4 M.2

Thanks for help :)

If you're new to AMD drivers you have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. Make sure you dive into the driver and settings for that specific game and do some experimenting. Try using "chill" and setting it to 200fps or whatever your monitor refresh rate is.

Also make sure you have resizeable bar turned on in your BIOS, and your windows install is

Have you checked GPU and CPU usage using e.g. Intel PresentMon? Though with a 9800X3D you shouldn't be CPU limited.

Yep. CPU util was down in the 20%'s and GPU utilisation was also quite low in the 30-50 mark

GPU usage 30–50% means the GPU is being limited by something. Intel PerfMon should provide some insight into what the limit is, could be the CPU, but could also be RAM, engine or something else entirely.

Overall CPU usage is meaningless in this regard, you need to look at individual cores. If one is pegged at 100% you're CPU limited, even if others are idle.
