Well yes but it's not gonna do anything then is it? It won't get power so it won't do anything.

 

Any reason you need an extension normally all cables with a psu are plenty long. It's also generally not adviced to use extensions when you need a lot of power through them for like a high power cpu or gpu as extensions add resistance which can cause instability. It's better to get a full cable replacement then that is longer.
