Multi Sim Racing Rig

I’m looking to build a game room with 3-4 Sim Racing rigs . My main question is regarding PC. I wanted to know if it is possible to do a gaming server setup to run the the rigs rather than a gaming pc attached to each rig . Maybe it’s more cost effective if possible using client cpus or kvm at the rigs for multiplayer / lan game setups. 
 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

One question is how would you attach multiple wheels, pedals, shifters and similar to the same machine and tweak them in their own programmed setting like MOZA PitHouse software.

It might be more cost effective but it would be a nightmare to deal with in terms of peripherals.

No. Computer hardware does not scale linearly. 4 machines is far cheaper than one giant server that can run 4 game instances

What about 4 vms with 4 gpus passthrough directly connected to each monitor . And configure USB passthrough aswell .

Why would you want worse performance and higher costs
