so i built my self a computer and went to put windows xp on because i had a xp to 7 upgrade so i tryed that and i failed so i bought a windows 7 disc and put it in and now its saying it cant install because it has a gpt partition style what do i need to do ? 


 


this is what the error box says Windows cannot be installed to this disk the selected disk is of GPT partition style

I am pretty sure you can reformat a drive from within the windows installer if not you will have to put the hdd into another pc and wipe it clean I guess. 

So I spelt something wrong in my post... I don't care I don't read through what I write and I type very quickly.

assuming you do not need anything on it, yes. However I am not sure as I have little experience with this sort of thing.
