I bought a Asus TUF 4080 Super OC back in Jan. At first, the temps were perfectly fine, with average core temps of 60-70c and hotspot of below 85c under load. Recently, I noticed that the fans appear to be much louder than usual and got a shock when I checked the temps. average core temps are now 70-75c and hotspot temp peaks out at a concerning 102c.

Is 102c hotspot acceptable? I was trying to RMA the GPU with Asus but they want to charge me $60 for one way shipping even though the card is still very obviously under warranty...

Edit: apart from driver updates, I did not make any other changes to my system.

What were you doing "at first"? Were they the same things you're doing now to see the 102C hotspot? Make sure you're running the exact same thing and get worse temps.

I think you're just running something much more demanding now and your GPU needs to work harder.

Also, 102C hotspot isn't that big of a deal. Don't worry too much.
