Are the issues with msi board fixed by now

They dont affect AM4 sockets, only AM5. If youre just going to turn on D.O.C.P and maybe Precision Boost Overdrive, either board will work. In that case, get the cheapest between the two.

PS: I personally prefer MSI BIOS workflow for overclocks, but that pro4 does have slightly better hardware for overclocking, if you care about that in the first place.

Someone is selling me an msi b550m pro vdh (no wifi) in my home town but I also looked online for an asrock b550m pro4 which costs a little more than the b550m pro vdh. Are the issues with msi board fixed by now or should I just order the asrock board online?

No issues with msi on am4 just that their b550ms suck for mem oc beyond 4000 so if you want to run desync fclk or an apu you do not want an msi b550m

What are the prices anyways? Usually new and used b450s are quite abit cheaper than b550s with no real difference other than pcie3 which doesnt really matter unless you need a pcie 4 nvme which is completely useless for normal use (gaming windows etc.)
