Budget (including currency): 500-600 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming and video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

So I currently am on an i5-9600KF, 32 GB of DDR4 3600, an MSI Z-390-A Pro Motherboard, and a 550 W power supply.

I just want to upgrade these parts, but, I want to keep my graphics card (RTX 3060 Ti). I also play in 1080p

I prefer to switch to AM5 but keep it within the budget. Anything helps! I will likely upgrade this summer after I have paid for my first semester of university.

Main rig specs:
i5-9600KF

32 GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 MHz

Crucial P3 Plus 2TB NVMe

MSI RTX 3060 Ti (GDDR6X Ver.)

MSI Z390-A PRO

Depending on the model, that 550W PSU may be a little sketch.

But getting to AM5 on 500-600 bucks is totally doable.  Oh, "this summer" ?

Yeah, it's easily doable, but price shopping 6 months ahead of time is a waste of effort, since prices will change in the interem.  .

Do you live near a Microcenter by chance?   Their bundles will let you upgrade the easiest.

It's EVGA silver I believe. I think I've already determined that I'm slightly over the power budget (occasional crashes at full load)

Here's what I have so far:

I definitely want to go with the Ryzen 7 9700x

I realized that it is only 65 Watts which is great for me cause that means that it still only uses about 450 watts total so maybe stick with my current psu and if it causes a problem ill buy a new one no biggie.
