Didn't want to revive the old thread, but still wanted to keep the topic alive. The only device I know that fits the bill is this (and feel free to post about other similar newer gizmos), though the fact that it doesn't do EDID and HID emulation kinda kills it for me. Rumor has it that there's a TB5 version in the works, though it is still uncertain if that will have EDID and HID emulation.

I got high refresh rate 2K screens (165 mhz) with gsynch, would this work?
