yes but am wondering what it means by latch like is it where the gpu clips onto?

No. It's the latch that holds the power connector into the GPU..

Recently I have been wanting to find a 90 degree cable for my gpu. currently I have an asus tuf 4070ti super. While looking through my box for the gpu they offer a cable mod discount. And I was just wondering if anyone could help explain the 90 degree cable options to me. I want to get this cable https://store.cablemod.com/product/cablemod-c-series-pro-modmesh-sleeved-12vhpwr-90-degree-stealthsense-pci-e-cable-for-corsair/ I currently have a corsair 1000e and wasnt too sure if the cable was compatible. Also I dont really understand the two different variants. I read the description but its not clicking. so if anyone could elaborate on it would be very appreciated. BTW as of rn the gpu is vertically mounted if it made a difference with the variants

Essentially its where the GPU notches are on the power connector. This is either at the bottom or top of it. If you got a top notched GPU, Variant A. If you got a bottom notched GPU, Variant B. If you want the cable to run to the top above the backplate, flip the purchase decision, though for 12VHPWR i would run it downward by default to reduce straining. But if you got vertical for most part it wont matter.

Also, right cable. RMe line uses Type 4 cable.

Thank you for the response! Wouldn’t it be variant A because the 12vhpwr connector clips at the top and you said type 4 cable I couldn’t really find where it says that but the one I linked I’m pretty sure your saying is correct IMG_9019.thumb.jpeg.c8d14ce2ad353e59a888c4ef571e0a0d.jpeg

Not the adapter end. The one on the GPU board.
