my budget is around $2k

The sound card is not needed.

I would suggest an IPS monitor for better color reproduction and wider view angles.

16GB of memory is not generally needed for gaming.

At your budget you might want to consider an Intel i5 build.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Welcome to the forum

With as much money as that, you have to atleast have a 780, and sound card is really not necessary in anyway shape or form. 16GB Ram is also not needed for gaming but if you want... why not? Also wireless card? if you have a desktop like this isnt it way better to use a cable to connect the route with the desktop instead? but if you want...

Also with this budget you better goes with Intel CPU, and while you can even buy an i7 4770k without reaching 2000$, if you are just gaming then it's not needed and a 4670k will suit you better.

27inch monitor because bigger is better~

I downsize the SSD to 120GB because other than the OS and a very few program, games and stuff wont get much benefit from running on SSD compare to a good HDD like the WD Black.

I keep the case cause you seem to like it and with what I build I keep a consistent Black/Red color scheme, I also downsize the PSU since 750W is overkill by a long shot.

I also change the keyboard and headset so you can have a full Razer set and because I like the look of them better, but this is up to you.

on 1920 x 1080p monitor should I really get a 780 or a 770?

With games nowaday, a 780 isnt really overkill on 1080p anymore~ Plus if you goes with a 780 you wont need to upgrade it for a long time
