Looking for a GPU upgrade.

I built my pc and want some recommendations on upgrading my GPU. My budget is around $350-USD 600; I mostly use black Ops 6, CS2, and the occasional video encoding.

Current PC:

Ryzen 5 3600

Asrock B550M phantom Gaming 4

2x8 gigabyte of ddr4-3200 CL 16 ram

Samsung 970 evo plus 1 TB

Corsair 220T airflow

Corsair CX650F 650 watt PSU

RX 580 GPU

2 24inch 165-hertz monitors over display port 1.4

Stock AMD CPU cooler

3 SP120mm intake fans at the front

TP-link ac600 WiFi antenna

CPU + RAM + GPU = noticeable improvement (make sure to update that board's bios beforehand)

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: *AMD Ryzen 5 5600 3.5 GHz 6-Core Processor  ($115.73 @ Amazon)
Memory: *G.Skill Ripjaws V 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL18 Memory  ($56.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: *Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7600 XT 16 GB Video Card  ($329.97 @ Amazon)
Total: $502.69
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
*Lowest price parts chosen from parametric criteria

350$ you are looking at the 3080/6800xt and 400-450$ theres the 3080ti/6950xt

All used price. If OP wants new i would also just kill 2 birds with one stone and drop in a new CPU. Check @Why_Me listing for 1440p, for 1080p i would spend extra on CPU because both of your title do scale the cache:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D 3 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($260.00 @ Amazon)
Memory: Silicon Power GAMING 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory  ($42.97 @ Newegg Sellers)
Video Card: XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Core Radeon RX 7600 8 GB Video Card  ($259.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $562.96

But be wary of current limits with your board going with this CPU. You might want to undervolt through Curve Optimizer or cool down the VRM array with tack on heatsinks and fans drafting on it. If you dont wanna deal with it, refer to the post above.

I'd look at a gpu with more VRAM if gaming at 1440.

Yep, hence why i recommend yours at 1440p. Its just that CS2 and Black Ops 6 do benefit a bit from the extra cache that the X3D chips have especially in CPU bound resolution aka 1080p or below.

At that budget range, I'd say a 7800XT

Quite fast, lotta VRAM, and you don't need NVidia stuff in competitive FPS

It's overkill for your weak CPU tho, so alternative would be a 5700X3D CPU and 7700XT GPU, that's  $700

I won't recommend a weaker GPU, worst value imo and less longevity

AMD R9  7950X3D CPU/ Asus ROG STRIX X670E-E board/ 2x32GB G-Skill Trident Z Neo 6000CL30 RAM ASUS TUF Gaming AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX OC Edition GPU/ Phanteks P600S case /  Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 ARGB cooler/  2TB WD SN850 NVme + 2TB Crucial T500  NVme  + 4TB Toshiba X300 HDD / Corsair RM850x PSU/ Alienware AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 3440x1440p monitor / ASUS ROG AZOTH keyboard/ Logitech G PRO X Superlight mouse / Audeze Maxwell headphones
