I know its a ripoff, but my mom insists on buying from Costco for various reasons (mainly their awesome return policy), but is it really that terrible? My moms a little old lady, and the thought of me building a computer from scratch terrifies her. We don't have much money, and she's afraid I'll screw something up, and we'll end up with no computer and be out like 700$.

Keep in mind that I've been using an IMac with a 4670 (graphics card, not CPU) and got by playing on ultra low settings. What kind of settings could I expect to play at 60 under? Could this manage until I'm able to figure out a better solution? Are there any better computers for around thus price? Thanks in advance.

Other than the GPU,it's fine.

The R7 250 isn't that good, and the PSU is quite trash.

You could get better if you bought the components yourself.

Hey, it's not that bad man. Just upgrade on the way

That would be the obvious answer, but are the non-performance parts up to snuff? I know a lot of pre-builders skimp out on the PSU, motherboard, etc. But what's the reputation like with Cyberpower?

I actually disagree. With that 350 Watt psu, you would have to change that too. Also a 6300 is not that powerful at all. You can get a much better machine if you can convince your mom.

That would probably average 30-40 fps on most modern games at 1080p low/medium. If you just plopped in a slightly better GPU down the line it'd be a pretty good PC.

However you may also need to up the PSU is you want to get a better GPU.. Its the struggle of buying prebuilts.

Well the 6300 is still the CPU I'd use, I just couldn't fit in a better Intel.

In certain conditions, but I really feel more comfortable with a 6 core going into the future. Besides, most games are GPU bound anyways.

yeah, but they are, and i would wager will be badly threaded, and can at most utilise 4 threads, and intel threads are way more powerful than AMD. but you are correct the difference would be minimal
