Ok, thanks, I pay for xfinity, and their router only allows something beginning with 198 or 10

If that's automatic range then set static under 10 or above 198 so 9 and 200.

Hi, I was trying to set up proxmox VE and since I don’t have a USB thumb drive, I decided to use iDrac 8 . But every time I try to install it I keep getting errors about the /dev/sda3 and how a .deb file failed to load. Also every time I try to set it up on my network it defaults to a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx

I have hardware raid set up. Please help me! I can change the ip, but I just want to install Proxmox!

You're better off to buy usb disk.

And the ip address is static so at the installation it detects DHCP then sets static ip address that means whoever DHCP server responds first although that DHCP detection is finicky at best so set ip address under 10 or above 200 and you'll be fine.

I'm jank tinkerer if it works then it works.

Regardless of compatibility 🐧🖖
