Thanks a bunch, not sure how reliable those Youtube channels are but i think they give me a good idea.

That's techpowerup channel and HwU.
IMO, They are trustable enough at the very least.

Plus you can always search other videos about a particular game vram usage, compare, and see if the results aligns.

What games use more than 8 GB of VRAM/Memory? Because from what im seeing in benchmarks in games like Horizon and Cyberpunk, they don't seem to use more than 8 GBs of VRAM. So despite the controversy behind these 8 GBs, i haven't seen a game that uses more than that at 1080p resolution. VRAM is for textures after all.

Can someone educate me on this? Because i want to confirm if i need more than 8 gigs or not for my build, which i doubt any game uses.

Seems games fill whatever VRAM is available, they can't use more but then the game stutters if the memory data has to be refreshed

Also depends on resolution and graphics settings

Any game I play on my 7900xtx at ultrawide 1440p max settings tends to fill at least 12GB quickly and then up to 18 or so...

Depends what you play and res and settings, I managed to use most of my XTX VRAM total system use number of times. If you really max certain games it can go way higher than you think. That said if more is available it can cache extra as that can help perf and exp.
