This or that?

Go to solution Solved by Tea1337,

I have a IPS monitor and I have to say that it's better, in my opinion, than a lot of the displays I've seen. Just wondering if the LG's panel would be close, or good

That TV is likely a TN panel, even the BEST TN panel can't really compete with an IPS panel for color representation and such, but you can't get 120hz out of an ips panel that I know of.

LG 42LN5400 or a 23"-27" IPS monitor?

I'm going to do almost everything on it...Photoshop, After Effects, gaming, web browsing, etc.

I would say get a monitor, TV's just aren't build to do what monitors do, even if they are basically the same thing. Get yourself a high quality IPS monitor for that price. Or even a 1440p monitor

Eh, 120hz is nice for gaming but I don't game as much as I do editing. Thanks though! I'll just go get more IPS monitors :)

Cheers!
