After extensive benchmarking with and without physx with multiple systems in different price ranges and gpu's the physx card is literally useless, the system that showed this the best was actually my sig system. we used a gtx 770 as a physx so its guaranteed there wouldnt be any kind of issues with a physx card bottlenecking the main gpu's and at the most we saw a 5 fps gain. on average though it was no gain at all and some games even LOST frame rate because of the dedicated physx

This is true, I once used a GTX 660 in my PC as a dedicated PhysX Card
