weird temperatures for CPU

when I do some AI workload like DeepFaceLab,

my CPU temp jump to 80c(even that I select GPU to do the process)

when I stop the workload it go down to 40c

 

is it normal temperatures?and what about the spikes?I mean is that possible that CPU can go high to 80c and then instantly cool to 40c the moment I quit DeepFaceLab?or it is just something wrong with sensors?

I have Intel i7-14700k with Corsair AIO H115i RGB

P.S : I tried few apps to see if it is app bug,I tried Armoury Crate and HWMonitor

When the CPU temp goes up, is there load on the CPU?

Yes, its possible for the core temp to go from 80c to 40c almost instantly. These are the temperature of the cores under the IHS.

The temp of the IHS or the plate under your CPU cooler will not cool this quickly, too much mass.

well I choose to use GPU and not CPU,but for some reason the CPU get heat
